Sometimes, I feel like such a rookie!

Full moon over Mount Shasta

Full moon over Mount Shasta

After my last couple of photo shoots, I was frustrated about all the editing I had to do to remove ugly dust spots from my photographs. I’ve only had this camera for three months. How did it get so dirty? I suppose it doesn’t matter all that much, but dirty it was. So, I did a bunch of research and ordered some supplies to clean the sensor. I’m happy to say I did it! My sensor is now spotless and ready for another photo shoot.

So, since I am obviously not an expert at this, I will not even attempt to post a tutorial on how to do it. Instead I will share the resources that I found most helpful in venturing into this uncharted territory. First, I read this very helpful, multi-page article on the many options available and how to use them. Then, I watched this equally helpful video, showing how it’s actually done. As it turns out, it’s really not nearly as scary or difficult as I imagined.
