For the last three or four years, I have planned long trips to far away places in hopes of capturing images filled with natural beauty and the emotions of being surrounded by nature’s awe. Yesterday, I learned that I don’t have to travel so far.
The Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway is just north of here, and it is a magical place filled with mother nature’s splendor. I ended up spending more time than I thought I would because it seemed that everywhere I turned was another opportunity for a gorgeous shot.

There are even natural hot springs in the area where one can soak away the sore muscles from all that hiking!
